  • DONGSUNG High School In Korea
  • MAJOR AS A TAEKWONDO IN KYUNG HEE UNIVERSITY, KOREA
  • KOREA ARMED FORCES ATHLETIC CORPS
  • 1990 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CHAMPION

For Eight years Grand Master Kim claimed Korea’s National Heavyweight Championship and has led the Marine Corps team to many victories.

In 1990 Grand Master Kwang-Sup Kim competed during the World Championships in Spain and became the World Heavyweight Champion.

During the four years as the Head Master of the US Tae Kwon Do Olympic School, he trained many famous athletes with a traditional style.

He came to Professional TaeKwonDo School in 2007. Since 2010, he has been teaching Taekwondo in many public schools and charter schools all over New York.

All martial arts instructors at Professional Taekwondo School in New York City, NY are trained to ensure that our martial arts classes are safe, effective and fun.

Our instructors and instructor assistants are trained to focus on more than just teaching martial arts skills. Instructors also learn how to work with all students, tailoring their martial arts teaching methods to fit the individual child. Emphasis is put on encouragement and positive correction.

We are committed to teaching the physical skills of martial arts while applying attitude-shaping exercises aimed at bringing out the best character and physical potential in each student. Through weekly martial arts training, instructors advance their own martial art and educational knowledge to become even more effective martial arts teachers.

The Professional Taekwondo School instructors are required to maintain their personal level of martial arts knowledge and a high level of personal growth. They are expected to take classes on a regular basis and test at least once per year.
